BONUS RACE FINALS RULES AND FINALS INFORMATION

*Entries will open Jan 1, 2013 12 noon. www.bonusracefinals.com WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ANY ENTRY.

*You will need a valid credit card or debit card to enter (MASTER CARD – VISA – DISCOVER) There will be a 5% fee to cover online processing and associated credit card fees. *You will only be able to enter ONE rider at a time. There is a 1x processing fee per rider entered. *We do not take late entries. Entries close March 1, 2013 (note stalls, RV, and certain sessions may fill before this date. All entries must be made online to keep track of when these fill. *Note – a horse and or rider cannot enter the SAME session during the day in two different arenas…example – you cannot enter the Open barrel race AND the Cactus Bonus Round both for the Sat AM session. We do not have a way to make sure you do NOT draw up at the same time. *You will need the CITY – STATE AND MONTH of at least ONE qualifying race you entered between March 1, 2012 and the date of entry. (note you cannot make entry into the finals until you have competed in at least ONE qualifying event). NO REUFNDS FOR ANY REASON AFTER MARCH 1ST 2013 – NO DOCTOR RELEASE – NO VET RELEASES. NO RIDER SUBS (HORSE SUBS ARE ALLOWED UNTIL YOUR SESSION BEGINS EACH DAY. REFUND REQUEST MUST BE MADE BY MARCH 1, 2013 IN WRITING. (EMAIL bbbarrelbash@yahoo.com you will get a confirmation) THE PROCESSING FEE AND ONLINE FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE. IN ADDITION THERE WILL BE $25 TAKEN OUT OF YOUR ENTRIES FOR ISSUING THE REFUND. ALL OTHER FEES WILL BE REFUNDED BY MARCH 15, 2013. By entering, you agree to hold harmless Bonus Race Finals, Double B Productions, LLC sponsors, staff and Lancaster Event Center, Lancaster County Ag Society in event of death, theft, loss, or damage. By entering, you are acting as an agent for any horse you enter at this event.

STALLS  SOLD OUT – Those that paid for Thursday arrival will be unlocked Thursday. Those that paid for Friday arrival will be unlocked Fri am. NO OUTSIDE SHAVINGS ARE ALLOWED. The stalling and shavings office will be open 24 hours beginning 10 am Thursday through noon Saturday. If you decide to come Thursday and did not pay for Thursday arrival, simply come to the stall office to pay the extra $20 per stall and our staff will unlock for you at that time.  IF YOU HAVE A PEN (INSIDE OR OUTSIDE) YOU NEED TO CHECK IN AT THE STALLING OFFICE IN PAVILION 2 TO PAY FOR YOUR PEN, AND GET A “CARD” TO PLACE ON YOUR PEN. Inside pens are $40 Outside pens are $25.ANY HORSE ON THE GROUNDS PRIOR TO 10 AM THURSDAY WILL BE ACESSED A $100 FINE PER HORSE AND ASKED TO LEAVE. NO HORSES ON GROUNDS PRIOR TO 10 AM THURSDAY!

 

*RV TIE OUT INFORMATIONSold out. If you have a spot reserved choose a campsite upon arrival and bring the SITE # and your receipt (our office has a list as well) to the stalling/rv office located in Pavilion 2 – they will need the SITE # to unlock for you and ISSUE YOU A PERMIT. If you have purchased an RV spot from someone else it may be a good idea to have an email or note stating that you have purchased this spot and/or have permission to use it. If you are tying out please park in a grass area (either to the east of Pavilion 4) or to the North. We will have a water truck there (for watering animals) and port a potty. PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE OF OTHERS PARKING NEAR YOU WHEN YOU SETUP PENS/ELECTRIC FECNCE. EXCESSIVELY LARGE PENS MAY BE ASKED TO BE TAKEN DOWN.

FORWARD MOTION RULE & GENERAL RULES – is in affect. No circling AFTER the end of the alley. You can do anything you want IN the alley just do not circle and maintain forward motion AFTER you reach the end of it to avoid disqualification. This will help us keep the show moving (thank you in advance). If you have a horse with a gate issue please notify gateman at check in so we can assist you however we need to. 3 CALL RULE IS IN AFFECT YOU MUST BE IN THE WAIT PEN AND CHECKED IN WITH THE GATEMAN BEFORE THE TRACTORS STOP, OR YOU WILL BE SCRATCHED. HORSES MUST RUN IN POSITION DRAWN AND CANNOT SWTICH DRAW POSITIONS. IF YOU RUN A HORSE OUT OF ORDER IT WILL BE A NO TIME. No circling a barrel more than once. $50 fines apply if you do not follow this rule. Please do not go around a barrel more than 1x respect the riders that have drawn after you.A down barrel is a no time. If for any reason the timer malfunctions, you will be offered a re-run at the arena director’s discretion. ANY PRIOR PENALTIES WILL APPLY. Arena director’s decision is final. A photo will be taken (flash used ) on every horse entered in the barrel race. (no exceptions) Please do not ask the photographer not to use a flash – it is a part of the arena and will be the same for every rider.

CHANGE A HORSE NAME – DEADLNE 15 MIN BEFORE YOUR SECTION BEGINS (no fee) Open Race (MPA Arena) make change in show office in Pavilion 2. Cactus Bonus Race (AMYS ARENA) make change in show office in Pavilion 4 (aka Ams Arena) located at 3rd barrel end.

DRESS CODE  ANY long sleeved shirt is acceptable. Although we do not require a western shirt we do ask that you use good judgement when choosing competition apparel and know that champions photos will be used in Barrel Horse News full page color ad and further promotions. Please dress accordingly. Western hats are NOT required. If you do wear a hat and lose it – there will be a $10 fine payable to barrel setter before you get it back. NO OTHER HEADGEAR BESIDES HAT OR HELMET IS ALLOWED. NO BALLCAPS VISORS ETC.

ROUND PEN – every year we have someone that feels they should take down the panels and use for their own. PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS AND REPORT TO US IF SOMEONE DOES. DO NOT LEAVE HORSE UNATTENDED IN ROUND PEN!  WARM UP ARENA – OPEN 24 HOURS Pavilion 3 Arena (we will do our best to keep this worked up) Please reserve during the race for next 25 riders only.

SHOWERS – located in MPA Arena.

DOGS – although we love them – we do not allow them in EITHER arena. Please do not bring dogs into PAVILION 4 (AMYS ARENA) OR MPA ARENA  AT ANY TIME THIS WEEKEND. (thank you) THEY ARE ALLOWED IN PAVILION 2 STALL BARN, PAVILION 1 STALL BARN, AND PAVILION 3 STALL BARN/WARM UP ARENA

Open 5D $10,000 Added 100% PAYBACK ADM ($45 entry fee per run-75%PAYBACK) (Open 5D ½ sec split) You may enter this race 2x on the same horse (different sessions) (this race is open to ANYON who has competed in a BRF Qualifying event between March 1, 2012 and date of entry) Contestants finishing 1st-3rd in any div THUR-SAT will have the option to add onto the Cactus Bonus Race. We have a few openings in Cactus Bonus Race; Friday, Saturday and the remainder will be added onto Sunday. PLEASE MAKE ENTRIES ASAP AFTER QUALIFYING IN PAVILION 4 SHOW OFFICE ENTRY FEE CACTUS BONUS RACE $75 CAS OR CREDIT CARD. A HORSE MAY ONLY RUN 1X IN THIS RACE. AWARDS TO FAST TIME EACH DRAG (360 TOTAL AWARDS) PLEASE PICK UP IN SHOW OFFICE DAY YOU WIN AFTER YOUR BIG DRAG. LOCATED IN PAVILION 2 CACTUS BONUS ROUND $38,000+ added 100% PAYBACK ADM($75 entry fee – 90% PAYBACK) horse may only run ONE TIME in this race; The added money comes from $1/run fees at approved events. Must have a qualifier id to enter. Open 5D (1/2 sec split) full awards through 10th place. We do not mail awards and ask that you try to make arrangements with a producer or contestant in your area that can pickup any awards for you that you may win if you leave before they are given away.

VENDORS -Wed – vendors without horses may arrive after 5pm to setup (must make arrangements with Renea prior to arrival please!) No vendors with horses will be allowed on grounds Wed. Vendors with horses may come in after 7 am Wed (before contestants are allowed on grounds) to unload with horses and begin unloading.

 

THURS

THURSDAY ARRIVAL STALLS OPEN 10 AM – no horses on grounds before 10 am Thursday. Failure to follow this rule will result in $100 fine PER HORSE – THIS WILL BE ENFORCED!

 

SHOW OFFICE OPEN – TRADESHOW OPEN IN PAVILION 4 (aka Amy’s Arena) AND PAVILION 2

 

11 am -10 pm $5/hour Ride Around Tickets in Amy’s Arena (purchase tickets in Amy’s Arena aka Pavilion 4 show office). Limit 50 tickets per hour. Tickets are PER HORSE – no ponying horses in these sessions!

 

12 PM – 9 PM free massage in the therapy room (across from concessions in Pavilion 4) Limit one per person – 10 minute massage THURSDAY ONLY.
