BONUS RACE FINALS RULES 2012 

(we reserve the right to refuse any entry) Fri & Sat Races  Are LIMITED to 600 entries per day AND open to ANYONE that has competed at a Bonus Race Finals Approved event between Mar 1, 2011 and Feb 28, 2012.  Sunday is limited to QUALIFIERS ONLY and you MUST list the Qualifier ID for EVERY horse entered!! (this number can be found on our website next to your name)

The Open 5D races will be ½ second splits. They will run Friday and Saturday. Friday $5000 added. Sat $5000 added. $50 entry fee each race – 75% payback of entry fee – 100% added money. These two races are open to anyone that has competed in a Bonus Race Finals event between March 1, 2011 and Feb 28, 2012. Each of these races will be limited to the first 600 paid entries. Entries must be made by credit or debit card. Each day will have 2 sessions (am limited to 300 entries) and pm (limited to 300 entries). When each session is full it will no longer be available online for entry.  Those contestants that win a check Friday or Saturday will earn qualifiers to the CACTUS BONUS ROUND on Sunday (estimated $20,000 added round).  If the Friday or Saturday sessions fill COMPLETELY (600 entries) we will take a waiting list. Check website for details on waiting list submission (in case of refunds which are allowed through March 9).

Sunday CACTUS SADDLES BONUS ROUND (estimated added money $20,000++) ONLY those people listed on the website under BONUS RACE FINALS QUALIFIERS are allowed to enter this race.  YOU MUST WRITE DOWN YOUR QUALIFIER ID THAT CAN BE FOUND ON THE WEBSITE TO ENTER THIS RACE! The site will be updated weekly. There is a qualifying  ID next to each qualifiers name. Contestants MUST use this code when making entry to the SUNDAY CACTUS SADDLES BONUS ROUND   A rider can enter ONE horse for every ID# they have. The entry fee to this round is $75 per entry (horse may only run 1x). Payback of the entry fee is 90% and 100% added money. Those qualifying AT THE FINALS (from Fri/Sat races) will be added to end of pre entry draw the fee will be $75 cash or $75 + 5% convenience fee to pay by credit card. NO CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED. You cannot enter the Cactus Round at the finals UNLESS you earn a qualifier at the finals (you must pre enter!)

FEES There will be a 1x processing fee per rider per weekend of $15. All entries MUST be made online by credit card. There is also a 5% convenience fee to pay online by credit card. There are no refunds of the processing fee or the 5% fee for any reason. In the event a contestant needs a refund for any reason they must send a written request (by email ) In the event a contestant needs a refund for any reason they must send a written request (by email bbbarrelbash@yahoo.com  ) Request must BE IN OFFICE no later than Mar 9, 2012. Upon receipt of refund request a confirmation shall be sent to contestant immediately (if you do not receive an email confirmation back you must call the office to confirm receipt). Refunds will be given by check minus processing fee, 5% convenience fee and an additional $15 processing fee per person. Note if you do not complete all of your entry and make an additional entry online the online entry system will charge you another $15 processing fee. AFTER THIS DATE ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON WILL BE AWARDED. NO SELLING SPOTS AFTER ENTRY DEADLINE. HORSE SUBS MAY BE MADE UNTIL START TIME EACH RACE.

 

NO CHECKS WILL BE TAKEN FOR ANY REASON AT THE EVENT – CASH OR CREDIT CARD ONLY (CREDIT CARD 5% CONVENIENCE FEE ADDED).

ENTERING THE CACTUS BONUS ROUND AT THE EVENT. If you earn a qualifier at the finals on Friday April 6,  you will be able to enter the Cactus Bonus Round on-site. We will take entries from Friday qualifiers from 10 am = 12 noon on Saturday ONLY (cash or credit card so come prepared!) On site fee wil be $75. . If you earn a qualifier on Saturday April 7,  you will be able to enter the Cactus Bonus Round on-site. We will take entries from Friday qualifiers from 9 am – 11 am  on Sunday ONLY (cash or credit card so come prepared!) On site fee wil be $75. No other late entries will be taken on site.

Stalls are required if your horse is on the grounds overnight. Stall fees are based on which day you plan to arrive. (see entry form). Dirt stalls will be assigned first. Once we run out of dirt stalls we will assign concrete stalls. If you wish to stall with someone they must ALSO request YOU as a stall buddy. NOTE IF STALL RESERVATIONS ARE MADE AT DIFFERENT TIMES THIS MAY DECREASE YOUR CHANCES OF GETTING A DIRT FLOOR STALL. If you have a special stall request (kicker, problem horse, stallion etc)  If you wait to buy your stall at the event – please see the stalling office in pavilion 2. WE CAN ONLY GUARANTEE STALLS THAT ARE PAID BY PRE-ENTRY DEADLINE!

PLEASE make a note of this!  Items you may want to bring to this show include hose, muck carts, lock for tack stalls.  April in Nebraska could be cold or could be warm – watch the weather for more info. The stalling area is climate controlled. NO OUTSIDE SHAVINGS ARE ALLOWED. YOU MUST PURCHASE SHAVINGS FROM THE LANCASTER EVENT CENTER (PER THEIR RULES) The shavings office will be open  10 am Thursday and open 24 hours through Sat. It will close at end of the show on Saturday night. Those with VIP passes can call reserve shavings through the shavings office and they will be open and in your stall waiting for you upon arrival.

ARRIVAL – absolutely nobody on grounds before 10 am Thursday! $100 fine per horse for early arrivals AND you will be asked to leave!. Do not call LEC office and ask to get in – we do not want anyone on grounds before 10 am Thursday.

RV – first come first served. The only way to get a reserved (ASSIGNED SPOT)  RV spot is to secure a VIP pass either as a sponsor, producer, or VIP event sponsor. All RV spots should be paid in advance online. If you DONOT have a VIP pass you may choose any non-reserved spot upon arrival then show your receipt to the stalling office and they will have the campsite unlocked for you. Electric is $60 for Thursday arrival, 40 for Friday arrival, $20 for Saturday arrival.

RULES - In case of timer malfunction rerun will be offered however any prior penalties will apply. Down barrel will be a no time. 3 call rule enforced. If you are not there ready to compete after calls you will be an official scratch. Contestants MUST check in with gateman and be in holding pen BEFORE the tractors begin and before they shut the gate for your section. CHECK IN SO THE GATEMAN KNOWS YOU ARE THERE. If your horse any gate issues and you need special assistance please tell the gateman we will work with you. No tolerance rule will be enforced. Any unnecessary abuse will NOT be tolerated. You may receive one warning – after that a $50 fine may be accessed and if it continues you will be DQ and asked to leave. This rule also applies to unsportsmanlike conduct inside or outside of the arena. No circling inside the arena (once you pass the end of the alleyway you must keep a forward motion or you will be disqualified). Payoff will be 75% of entry fee for Race 1 & 2. Payoff will be 90% of entry fee for Cactus Bonus Round. 100% of added money shall be paidback in each race. Payoff schedule will be as follows. YOU MUST BE IN THE HOLDING PEN AND CHECK IN WITH THE GATE OFFICIAL PRIOR TO YOUR RUN AND BEFORE THE TRACTORS STOP AND YOUR GROUP OF 5 BEGINS. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS RULE WILL RESULT IN AN OFFICIAL SCRATCH. ONCE THE TRACTORS BEGIN THE HOLDING PEN GATES WILL NOT REOPEN UNTIL THE LAST HORSE IN THAT GROUP OF 5 RUNS.

DRESS CODE – Long sleeved shirt (any type sweaters acceptable) appropriate for barrel racing competition. Western jeans – western boots required. Hats are optional for competition. (only headgear accepted is a western hat or helmet). No ballcaps, visors, headbands, etc. If you choose to wear a hat and lose it in the arena it is a $10 fine payable to the barrel setter to get it back. WE EXPECT YOU TO BE IN FULL WESTERN DRESS/ATTIRE FOR ANY PHOTOS INCLUDING THE SUN AM QUALIFIERS PHOTO AT 8 AM IN BLEACHERS. YOU MUST BE IN FULL WESTERN DRESS TO RECEIVE YOUR “GOODIE BAG”.
